Physical activity has a direct benefit on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It also has a direct correlation to increased engagement and less disruptive behaviour in the classroom and therefore better academic results.

Aim of the program

Beginning from physical activity, the goal is for students to progress into an exercise, sport and/or recreation program to instill the habit of becoming a “lifelong mover” and promoting lifelong learning.

  • Involvement in physical activity, fitness programs and sports will keep youths engaged and reduce the potential to become involved in drugs, sex, criminal activity, alcohol, smoking and other anti-social behaviour
  • Additionally, it gives youths the grounding for character development and learning important life skills such as communication, respect, discipline, goal setting, teamwork and fairness. The social, economic and personal value of investing in the lives of children produces a positive impact on the communities and country.
